The Lyrica only ” …
The Lyrica only “knocks me out” at bedtime so that I get about 6 hours of sleep. That’s up from 2-4. It took about a month to see any real results from the Lyrica that were positive. The “high” was too much for me, and the memory lapse/cognitive difficulties/slurred speech have all gone away. Now I take one in the morning (150mg) and one in the evening (150mg)and that’s it for me. I don’t think I could stand anymore.
Hi there! It takes …
Hi there! It takes about a month for all side effects to dissipate. I had memory lapse, cognitive difficulties, and slurred speech. That’s all over with and I feel pretty normal, but the breakthrough pain can be horrendous. Glad you got away from Gustav and your stress level is down. That, I’m sure, helps A LOT!
Hi SANA! They …
Hi SANA! They Lyrica had side effects for about 2 weeks and then they dissipated. It takes about a month to see if it will work for you. I have NOT gained weight on Lyrica yet (darn), but that is a side effect of the medication. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be careful with the ambien! It’s very dangerous. I also take Lorcet for breakthrough pain, soma for severe spasms, and 800mg of Ibuprofen for anti-inflammatory. The Lyrica is still working so far, but I don’t “feel” it working if that makes sense.
i’m having chronic …
i’m having chronic pain in my neck. i have chronic fatigue syndrome as well. but i took two ambien 10mg in hopes i will sleep. i toke a vicoden es, soma, motrin 600, and a neck patch (i think it is a nsaid)!
i dont get the lyrica do you take that daily (what was the crash)?? it kills pain more then a vicoden or percocet?
ultracet didn;t work for me.
did you gain weight on lyrica – thats a side effect.

I started Lyrica on August 27th at 75mg X 3 for pain I have from a thoncotmy from a few years back.I struggled with consentration and irritabilty for the first few days ( didn’t help that I had to evacuate from Gustav). I have seem to have moved pass that and I am sure stress had alot to do with it. So far my pain has subsided to a point were I almost feel normal again. I do notice thatI have trouble with speech, but I hope it goes away after I have been on it for more then a week. thx 4 ur vid
It’s strange but I …
It’s strange but I noticed no difference with Lyrica. I have fibromyalgia. Have had it for a couple of years. The only thing that Lyrica did was just completely knock me out. I could not function on the stuff.
I take 150mg twice …
I take 150mg twice a day. Once in the morning and once at bedtime with lorcet for breakthrough pain. I’ve worked through most of the side effects and it does give me 8 hours of sleep. I don’t have the lyrica “high” anymore, which I’m happy to announce.
Hi, I have FMS, 2 …
Hi, I have FMS, 2 bulging discs, arthritis in my back, depression & anxiety. I’m on my second month of Lyrica & have been taking it at bedtime & feel no difference. Am I taking it at the wrong time? Should I be taking it during the day? I’m on 50mg. 2X’s a day.
Oh girl, I found …
Oh girl, I found you today and am working through your videos. I have fibromyalgia as well. I found you as a fellow makeup lover, but see that we have much more in common. I was 120 lbs last summer and went up to 165 in a short two months after beginning Lyrica in January. I was so incredibly swollen. I wanted to have really good luck with it, but I couldn’t continue taking it. I want to sent you a private message tomorrow as I am so happy to have found someone that understands.
i have fms and have …
i have fms and have been diagnosed for almost 10 years now. i have tried everything that there is to try. i have been on lyrica for 2 months now. i almost hate it. i hate the dizziness, then after a month, stated the loss of concentration. it is hard to work when you cannot remember what you were just doing. i am VERY tempted to stop taking this medication b/c it is getting to the point where the side effects are almost just as bad as the pain.

Lyrica gave me …
Lyrica gave me dizziness which was persistent, and it was quite expensive, but if your in pain you’ll do anything. Also I noticed that it relaxed me more about the pain. I was on 75 mg 2 times per day and also I felt like in a fog. Not worth it for me..Oh by the way i had 2 herniated cervical discs..
Hey. I’ve had …
Hey. I’ve had growing chronic pain for 7-10 years. (Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, IBS, etc.) I’m 21, male.
Got on Lyrica 2-3 years ago when it first came out. I worked with the dosage for a couple weeks, and had numerous side effects for that period of time. Haven’t had side effects since, and it’s helped mildly, but constantly. Now on 200mg a day.
Good luck!
Hi again! It’s …
Hi again! It’s 300mg total a day…I’m taking it down to 150mg once a day due to some side effects, but it should be 150mg twice a day with a total of 300 mg in one day.
Thanks–
A bit of …
Thanks–
A bit of clarification though. Do you mean 150 mg at that dosage 2 times a day ( 300 mg total per day) or 75 mg 2 x a day (150 mg total per day)
Thanks!!!
Hi Joe! I was put …
Hi Joe! I was put on 150mg twice a day at first and I was going through some changes. I have another video about the “Lyrica high” that some people experience. It’s a side effect and if you can deal with the side effects the pain relief is great! But at what cost? Some SE’s I’ve experienced are: dizziness, falling, feeling high, depression, wheepiness, and a feeling of being out of touch with reality. When they go away it’s great but it takes about 5 days for me to ride them out.
hi there-
I have …
hi there-
I have Fibromyalgia as well. I am a 37 year old male. (One of the few men with it.)
Can I ask what dosage did your doctor put you on with Lyrica, as I just got some today.
So you;re saying in your experience with it, ater five days the side effects went away?
Oh, have you heard of Wilson;s Synbdrome? (It mimics Fibromyalgia.. google it.)
Have a great day!
Joe
A good advice from …
A good advice from me to all who wanna know about Lyrica, first 2 days there are dizziness signs , then it will be Ok after that, that is the only side effect it has..second thing is that if Lyrica didn’t improve ur condition that’s because ur case needs a higher concentration of Lyrica so check with ur doctor or ask a pharmacist about higher concentrations, DON’T USE IT ON UR OWN
I’m so glad it’s …
I’m so glad it’s working for you. I have a full bottle of Lyrica. Got home from pharmacy, read the side effects and said, “NOPE”…I can’t afford the side effects. I would love to start it, but that means getting off the meds that I DO know work well enough. Still in pain, but managing. I wish you well and hope it keeps working for you. For me, it’s just FMS and narcs until something gets better or gives.
I have fibromyalgia …
