My intent in posting these clips is to share my favorite ER stories, provoke thought and generate discussion. I do not post full episodes, nor are all episodes represented. If you wish to see the full and complete episode and/or season, I strongly encourage you to purchase the DVDs. DVDs can be watched from the comfort of an easy chair on a larger screen with better picture quality and often times with a remote that lets you stop, fast forward and slow motion at will.

    I miss Dave. =(

  2. Is Marfan’s …
Is Marfan’s syndrome actually a real heart condition.

  3. Most of us are …
Most of us are lucky enough not to have to face this sort of situation.

Do you have another hosptial you could go to instead? Doesn’t sound like a place I’d want to go back to.

  4. Am I the only …
Am I the only person that notices that all the frantic behavior when you bring someone into ER can make them WORSE?

I have been in ER in Jackson, MS a few times for severe chest pain. They were slow to respond with meds, rude and frantic which made me feel worse and increases the chance of me having a heart attack; then when I siad I have Meneiere’s Syndrom, no one knew what it was and would not look it upuntil I BEGGED. They found it. I had them call my ENT who confirmed.

  5. Carter points that …
Carter points that out and Weaver replies with something like “well we’ll never know that, will we?”. That’s just the way Weaver is. I’m sure her thinking was “Great! Malucci screwed up – this is the perfect way to get rid of him!”. I don’t condone her thinking, but that’s her character.

  6. How do we know for …
How do we know for sure their client would be alive if they didn’t give him Thrombolytic(dissolve clots). Acute MI with unconscious is a bad sign anyway. I don’t think this patient could have survived cuz he was brought in the ER too late, but the nurse who presumed the client had cocaine based upon signs and symptoms was wrong. The other two doctors were wrong too (not the male doc).

    Weaver yelled @ …
Weaver yelled @ Malucci for killing the man but it was really her fault. if she woulda had her pager, maybe the man will still be alive and Malucci would still be working
