What causes hives, swelling of the face, and abdominal pain?

My friend suddenly broke out in hives and he hasn't touched anything. All day today he has had abdominal pains and his face is starting to swell up. The only thing he ate this evening was a cup of ramen and some oreos. I need to know what causes this and if there is anything I can do. Also, is it contagious?

It would probably be a good idea to have your friend see a allergist. He could have an allergy to the ramen or oreos. Also, he/she could have a stomach infection that could be causing those symptoms.

it could be an allergic reaction to anything such as detergent or anything he had ingested in the past couple of days i am not a doctor so he should probably get himself checked out

Sounds like a serious allergy, better find out from what cuz it could be life threatening next time.

i have hives
