Lower abdominal pain in the beginning of your second month of pregnacy, What can cause it?
Ok, so I am having lower abdominal pain and it hurts really bad when I move. What could be the cause? I dont think it is cramping. Any ideas? Please help. Thanks in advance!
I had this with a couple of pregnancies. My doctor said there is a ligament or muscle that runs from hip to hip across the lower belly and sometimes just the pressure of a baby or uterus on it can cause pain. If it continues, I would advice a maternity belt which helps support your belly as you get further along. Also, if this is your first, sometimes the first one is painful because these muscles haven't been used in this way before. Hope all goes well. Good luck.
could be just you uterus growing, making room for the growing baby.
if its severe then you really need to contact your doctor especially if your bleeding with it.

It may be the position of the baby that is causing discomfort. Call your doctor's office and speak with the nurse to get further advice.

I had the same pain with my pregnancy. My mid wife said it was ligaments stretching. I would go to the doctor just to be sure.

I experienced this exact same thing with both pregnancies. It is called "round ligament pain." Look it up on Google for more information. It hurts terribly but will not harm the baby. Personally, I found it hurt the worst while I was rolling from side-to-side in bed, or if I would sneeze too hard while sitting up. Rest assured that once you make your full recovery from labor and delivery that it goes away and you'll feel like your old self again. Good luck!

I dont want to scare you but lower abdominal pain's more than likley mean you may have a miscarriage or an etopic pregnancy which mean's the pregnancy is in your tube. I had lower abdominal pain's with my last pregnancy and I miscarried. Call your doctor right away especially if you have bleeding (spotting OR heavy bleeding.) In some women bleeding during pregnancy is normal but if you have never bled during your pregnancy it is not normal. Especially if it starts off spotting than turn's bright red! I wish you the best of luck.
